CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department is investigating a pair of shots fired incidents that occurred within a few hours of each other.

According to police, officers responded to the intersection of Booker Street and Charlton Avenue around 10:35 p.m. Monday.

A person called in stating that they saw someone shooting in the street.

The intersection was closed while officers were on the scene to collect evidence, and shell casings were recovered.

There have been no reports of property damage or injuries associated with this incident.

The second incident damaged two vehicles and an occupied apartment was shot into.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of South First Street around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Again, multiple casings were recovered and the street was closed down for a time.

Booker Street/Charlton Avenue and South First Street have since reopened.

The investigations into both of these incidents are underway.
