UPDATE: The Albemarle County Police Department has lifted the shelter-in-place order, but continues to urge people to avoid the area around Timberland Lane.

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Albemarle County Police Department is looking for a wanted person and a shelter-in-place has been issued for the area around Timberland Lane.

There is currently a heavy police presence in the area of the 300 block of Timberland Lane.

Residents at Timberland Apartments and anyone within a one-mile radius of the complex should shelter in place until further notice.

ACPD is searching for 23-year-old Dionte Ruffin.

He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees Ruffin is urged to not approach him and to call 911 immediately.
